Eric is an Administrative Law Judge currently serving the Putnam County Department of Health and the Nassau County Department of Health and has presided as an ALJ for Westchester County's Department of Health, the Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection, and the Westchester County Taxi and Limousine Commission.
He also currently serves as hearing officer for various organizations, including Westchester County. He is also trained arbitrator and mediator, and is among a select few attorneys who have been certified by the New York State Office of Court Administration as a State Supreme Court-appointed mediator.
He has been practicing law since the mid-1980s. In the public sector, he served for several years as assistant general counsel at the New York City School Construction Authority. Earlier in his career, he was Town Counsel for the Town of Mamaroneck.
In private practice, he has represented businesses and individuals in a variety of legal arenas and is an experienced litigator. Certified as an Impartial Hearing Officer by the NYS Education Department in 1996 to conduct special education hearings, he has presided over dozens of hearings across New York State, including the New York City Department of Education. Additionally, in 1999, he was trained by the Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities as a hearing officer, and has served as a superintendent-designated hearing officer in numerous student disciplinary hearings.
Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany, and received his J.D. in 1985 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.
